In this time of uncertainty and rapidly changing needs, CoRe is offering a range of free, online supports to conflict resolution professionals.
We recognize the need for a space for community conversations about best practices in online service delivery and the unique characteristics of “quarantine” mediations. On March 19th and 23rd, we partnered with Mediate BC to offer 90-minute Zoom discussions on:
- Pre-Meeting Client Communication
- Tools and Technology
- Dual Tracking
- Engagement and Maintaining Focus
- Translating Mediation Skills Online (chunking, balancing, process control)
- Interruption Techniques
- Online De-Escalation
We had amazing turn-outs with approximately 50 professionals from across the Pacific Northwest. Notes from these sessions will also be collated and shared.
Upon seeing the interest in these sessions, CoRe Board Member Amanda Semenoff will lead weekly, online community conversations every Wednesday from 4:30 – 6:00 pm PST starting April 1st.
In June sessions will occur on June 10th, & June 24th (Wednesdays) from 4:30 – 6:00 pm PST.
These drop-in sessions will focus on the needs of participants and will cover topics related to best practices, resources, and how to address challenges experienced by participants.
