Music and Conflict Resolution – We Can Work It Out

Explore the role music can play across the spectrum of conflict. From one-on-one disputes to international clashes, music can tap into common ground, build understanding, and provide an outlet for tension. How can we incorporate music into our approach to dispute resolution?

Lori’s love of music began sitting at her father’s knee listening to him play the guitar and singing along to classic country.  Lori has very eclectic tastes in music but some of her favourites are Canadian artists including her husband’s band Spirit of the West.  Being part of the Canadian music family has provided the opportunity to meet and learn from some amazing people along the way. Lori is a Registered Roster Mediator and is the Director of Child Welfare Initiatives with Mediate BC.
